Beast of Wisdom
by Br'er Dragonne
This is an English translation of the poem of the same name.
Rest now, beast.
I have heard your cry.
Fly to me, my shadow,
Fly as arrows pierce your hide.
The time has come for you to fade,
So steel yourself, you raging soul.
Fell to mage’s hand and warrior’s blade,
This life bears wisdom ages old.
Remember not the fight before,
For it was not yours to win.
Beyond the mountains, over the shore,
Paths wait ahead for you to begin.
